Nicholas Wall, LPC

Psychotherapist
223 Summit Ave, Fort Washington, PA
If you have something you are struggling with, you are not alone. It’s okay to have a problem, it’s not okay to neglect yourself. I seek to provide the support necessary to process the past, build skills to manage the present, and chart a path to a brighter future. I initially studied school counseling to serve school aged populations but as the need for mental health treatment increased, I was inspired to expand my practice to serve the greater population. Continuing my training and experience as a professional counselor provided the opportunity to address the mental health needs of a wider range of ages, issues, and settings. This supports my ability to tailor treatment centered around your needs and preferred style of therapy. Making positive changes and managing life transitions is tough, but the first action step is seeking help. If you or a loved one is interested, then let’s get started!

What should a new client know about working with you?

I’m a licensed professional counselor and certified school counselor. My therapeutic work focuses on the whole individual and charting a path to improvement based on what method best fits them. To foster therapeutic growth, I believe in client-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed treatment. My specialty is working with men’s issues; however, I am also open to working with women, children, and adolescents (10 years and up). I have treated clients facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, executive functioning issues, developmental disorders, traumatic and acquired brain injuries, grief and loss, trauma, and adjustment disorders.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I view the therapeutic process as a supportive and collaborative endeavor led by the client’s needs. Through openness, humor, and warmth, I aim to foster a supportive, trusting, and safe environment for clients to explore solutions. I draw from various modalities to meet client needs, including, but not limited to, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive-Behavioral therapy.
