I would like to say that I am so glad you decided to take the step toward working on your mental health. You might know that the problems you’re facing are things that you are unable to do alone without some support. I am here for you to feel supported on your journey. I work with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and various other issues. My goal is for you to be honest with yourself about the change you need and to assist you in making those changes. As much as therapy is a collaborative process, it also requires a lot of willingness on your part. I can't wait to work with you! My approach My role as a therapist is to help my clients process their trauma to work through their issues. Once a client effectively resolves trauma, other issues generally fade away. I believe in collaboration with my clients. They are in charge of their recovery, and their involvement is key to that process. I hope that I can empower you to reflect on your past and present in order to identify how each has contributed to and limited your ability to achieve your goals both in life and in relationships. Understanding how your past informs what is happening in your life is a significant motivator for positive change. My focus I use my skills in DBT, CBT, and EMDR to create tailored treatment plans that help my clients achieve their full potential. Clients who are motivated for change are the best candidates for these treatment modalities. My communication style When we take the time to really look at ourselves, we can see and start to change the things that might not be good for us, but we need a safe space to do it in. I’m a compassionate therapist who always offers a place where you can be completely honest with me. Therapy can be really hard, so I’ll listen attentively and create that open, safe spot where you can talk and share. I don’t judge, I want to understand what you’re saying.
