Hi there, I'm Nicole! I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) in Long Beach, California, with a Master's in Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University Long Beach. I have been practicing from a Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) with a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) informed perspective in Southern California for over a decade. I typically work with older adolescents and adults of all ages with eating disorders, postpartum issues, psychosis, borderline personality disorder, and those navigating complex or challenging life transitions and adjustments. My approach I work from a Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy-informed perspective, which means that I consider how thoughts, feelings, and actions are all connected, and how the beliefs we form early in life inform how we live in the present. I use tools like problem-solving, cognitive reframing, and mindfulness techniques to collaborate with my clients. I am also aligned with person-centered therapy, health at every size, and intuitive eating.
