For this reason, I strive to provide a safe, accepting, non-judgmental environment where you can openly explore your struggles and receive the support and guidance you need. Many times, our past experiences have left us with wounds that become aggravated, causing difficulties in our relationships and daily lives. Together, we will reflect upon your emotional states and sources of distress to gain deeper awareness and skills for change, relief, and healing in these areas. I offer individual therapy for adolescents and adults-specializing in anxiety, addiction, relationship issues, trauma, depression, and life transitions. In addition to traditional talk therapy, I incorporate creative and mind/body approaches including dance/movement therapy, expressive art therapies, breath work, meditation, and mindfulness practices as needed or desired. I hold a Master's degree in Dance Movement Therapy and a Certificate in Movement Analysis from Columbia College Chicago, as well as a Bachelor's degree from the University of Washington. As a therapist who has lived and worked throughout the country and world, I bring cultural awareness and sensitivity that will honor and respect your individual experience, outlook, and background. With this in mind, we will work together to utilize the counseling approaches that best meet your needs.
