Psychotherapist
VT
Hello, I'm Nicole. I’ve been married for over 20 years and have two wonderful children: a 16-year-old daughter and an 11-year-old son. Prior to having children, I received my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2001. My journey in social work began with working alongside children and families impacted by poverty, mental health issues, substance abuse, and other psychosocial stressors. This foundational experience shaped my commitment to helping individuals navigate their challenges and find a path to healing and growth. In 2015, I continued my career in social work, focusing on serving clients in a residential setting who are struggling with substance abuse, mental health issues, and PTSD. I am trained and specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Depression, Insomnia, and Suicide Prevention, as well as Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure Therapy for PTSD. My approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, and I believe in the power of these therapies to bring about meaningful change. Are you having negative thoughts and feeling consumed with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or loss? Are you ready to move forward and tired of merely existing instead of living a healthy, productive life? If so, I’m here to help. Together, we can process your experiences and put in the work and effort you deserve to discover a new way of thinking and being. I understand that seeking therapy can be a significant step, and I strive to create a supportive and non-judgmental space where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts and feelings. My goal is to empower you to overcome obstacles and achieve a sense of well-being and fulfillment. If you're ready to take the next step towards a healthier, more fulfilling life, I invite you to reach out. Let's work together to find the path that’s right for you.
