Psychotherapist
WA
Hi there, I'm Nicole! I am from Pennsylvania, have a Master’s degree in Education, and was a high school English teacher for 9 years. I decided my passion was working with people individually to explore their strengths and work with them to overcome obstacles in their lives. I went back to school and earned my Master’s in Social Work so that I could work with people on a more personal scale. I have been working simultaneously with patients in Washington and Pennsylvania for three years, with seven years of total experience as of 2025. I have a teenage daughter, two pit bulls, and they keep me quite busy! I enjoy learning and take special interest in the ways in which trauma, substance use, mental health, or our perceptions affect our behavior and the world around us. My approach My approach to providing care to patients is to meet the client where they are, acknowledging their diverse experiences and backgrounds, while providing support based on the patient's strengths and needs. My focus If you have been struggling and need support, reassurance, motivation, or just a listening ear, please reach out. We all need to be told at times that "This too shall pass" and get the support we deserve. My communication style Communication is the key to healthy relationships. My communication style is to provide support in an honest and non-judgmental manner, and to also encourage you to be free to be yourselves and respect you for your authentic self. Open, honest, transparent communication is essential for building therapeutic relationships. My journey to mental healthcare I was a high school educator for ten years, and decided to work with people on a more personal level rather than in a group setting. I am highly empathetic and desire to connect with individuals who need support as they navigate a difficult time in their lives. This led me to pursue a career in counseling, for which I have been a counselor for 7 years as of 2025.
