Life is complex, and sometimes we need a little extra support. People come to therapy for a variety of reasons. Therapy can provide a space to manage life's complexities, better understand yourself, and take steps toward creating the self-image and life you strive for. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin. Together, we can create a collaborative relationship where you can heal, express yourself in a non-judgmental, safe space, and lead a more meaningful life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach combines compassion, directness, and acceptance to help you clarify and move toward your goals. Through our work, we will also use humor to create lightness and softness when needed. I am passionate about working with individuals to increase their self-awareness, build their strengths, and explore options to cope more effectively.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My areas of expertise are working with teens, young adults, and adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression, life transitions, performance/life balance, and relationship challenges. By discovering areas of improvement and strengthening your ability to manage your stressors, I hope to help you feel more empowered, engaged, and confident in your life. I utilize various therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also integrate research by Brené Brown on empathy, courage, vulnerability, and shame. Together, we will identify the techniques to best support you, your experience, and your process.
