My name is Nicole Lovass-Nagy, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work from the University of Nevada, Reno. I am passionate about integrative mental health and whole-body wellness. I focus my work on setting and reaching goals personal to you, while giving you tools, skills, and strategies to reflect and continue your journey. My approach I am trained in CPT, CBT, DBT, ACT, and SFT manualized interventions. My work is rooted in Systems Theory, believing we are impacted daily by systems around us-relationships with friends, family, partners, or our workplace. My focus I work with clients from all walks of life. I am equipped to treat affective disorders, personality disorders, trauma-related conditions, OCD, bipolar disorder, issues related to aging, motherhood, life transitions, loss, relationship and family conflict, and domestic violence. My communication style Clients describe my style as down to earth, humorous, and warm. I ensure you feel valued, heard, and safe in therapy. I adapt my style to meet your individual needs and comfort. The heart of therapy is the relationship-having a strong, trusting bond is vital. My journey to mental healthcare I started as a high school teacher in a Title I school, noticing students' emotional needs hindered learning. I changed careers, working in a domestic violence shelter, realizing the need for caring individuals extended beyond my community. I relocated and ran a homeless shelter for years before becoming an outpatient therapist, then clinic director. I love my job, and despite traveling the world, nothing compares to the awe I find in seeing people achieve wellness goals and advance their lives.
