Nicole Mallett, MSW

Psychotherapist
NY
*This provider does not accept any Medicaid or Medicare plans* I am a social worker with experience working with both adults and children in a variety of settings. My background includes supporting people with substance use concerns, relationship and family issues, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, and trauma. I have also facilitated group therapy, provided crisis support, and done case management, which helps me understand the bigger picture of what clients are juggling in their day-to-day lives. I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing and focus on a client-centered, strengths-based approach. My style is holistic-I consider your physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual well-being as we work together. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are and support you in moving toward the life and goals that matter most to you. Life will always bring storms, but therapy can help you feel more prepared instead of overwhelmed. Our work together gives you space to manage your mental health on your own terms and reclaim a sense of control. I want to help you shift from feeling like life is just happening to you, to feeling like you have a say in what happens for you. Nicole Mallet has a Master’s in Social Work from Binghamton University. Nicole is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) 124621 at Cerebral (New York). Supervised by Joshua Sanchez, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) 099124 (New York).

What should a new client know about working with you?

I’m a naturally caring and empathetic person, and I want you to feel that as soon as you sit down with me. I’m transparent and straightforward while staying kind, so you always know you can ask questions and be honest about what you’re going through. My hope is that sessions feel like a space where you can show up exactly as you are—no judgment, no pressure to perform.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I take a holistic approach, paying attention to the emotional, physical, and relational parts of my clients’ lives. I meet people exactly where they are and work collaboratively to move at a pace that feels manageable and respectful. I see clients of all ages and backgrounds and am intentional about creating a space that feels inclusive and down-to-earth.
