Getting to know Dr. Nicole McCauley

Dr. McCauley has been in the social work field for more than 16 years. During the past 16 years, she has worked in school-based mental health, community-based mental health, day treatment care for adults, residential foster care, psychiatric residential care, and now serves programs directly linked to Family First Prevention Services Act. She has been certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She received her Doctor of Social Work in 2021 and Masters of Social Work in 2009. Dr. McCauley has held her LCSW since 2011.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am non-judgmental, kind, and easy to talk with according to my current clients. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy but will also use other evidence-based practices to meet needs.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I will check in with the client, see what is important for the individual to cover for the session before picking up where we left off during the previous session.
