Getting to know Nicole Nemiroff

Hi there, I'm Nicole! Congratulations on reaching out. Going to therapy doesn't mean something is "Wrong" with you - it's often a brave step. I have walked through pain and back again, and I come from this place as I humbly offer my services as a therapist. As a therapist, I am gentle yet firm, direct yet open, and engaged yet spacious. I use tried and true methods as well as cutting-edge neuroscience in my work with clients so they can leave with more insight, awareness, hope, and curiosity in their lives. My approach I use an approach that mixes my personal experiences with challenges, goal setting, grief, family systems, and more with the experience and training I have received for over a decade in Sports Coaching, CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Multicultural Intersectionality, Psychodynamic Theory, and even ABA to help my clients see themselves and their world more clearly, and stay motivated and engaged in their lives with a sense of fulfilling purpose. My focus I work with clients who are excited and engaged with life but feel "Stuck" or blocked. As a witness and guide, I work with clients to gain emotional fluency with themselves and work through these stuck patterns to have a life with more fulfillment and "success", whatever that means to you. My communication style I hold a space that is warm, compassionate, and enthusiastic. Most clients comment on how grounded, clarifying, and "real" I am. If I find the right moment for humor, I am not afraid to use it. I have excellent boundaries and make sure the space is for clients to learn about themselves and process with my guidance. My journey to mental healthcare Growing up both Jewish and Catholic (it's a long story) and as the oldest daughter in a working-class family, I was living with so much guilt and misplaced pain. I needed to understand myself and the world more, and despite all of my successes professionally and athletically, my motivations weren't true to who I was.
