Getting to know Nicole Nourian

I believe much of our past influences how we experience the present, especially in our relationships, our self esteem, and the ways we cope with stress. Sometimes the patterns we learned earlier in life helped us get through difficult seasons, but now they may be keeping us stuck. Therapy can be a space to slow down, connect the dots, and process what has been carried beneath the surface so you can begin to unlearn habits that no longer support the life you want. My greatest joy comes from helping people reconnect with their truest selves. Whether you are learning how to access your emotions, build healthier relationships, heal wounds from family dynamics, or move through grief and loss, I aim to offer a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported. I take a compassionate approach that is also focused on growth. We will explore the root causes of your pain while also building practical tools you can use in everyday life. Many of the clients I work with seek support for relationship issues, grief, self esteem, family problems, inner child work, depression, and major life transitions. I consider myself an eclectic therapist and often draw from attachment based therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic theory. Together, we will identify patterns, strengthen self trust, and create a path toward real and lasting change. My hope is to help you turn your struggle into a new story of resilience.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapy with me isn’t just talking to an empty room; it’s a collaborative, engaging space where I promise to be fully present, compassionate, and invested in your growth. It's been the honor of my life to hold the stories of those who come to see me.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach begins with creating a safe, supportive space where you can feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. In our early sessions, we focus on understanding what brings you to therapy, identifying your goals, and exploring relevant experiences from your past that may be influencing your present. I believe healing happens when we understand the root causes of our pain, not just the symptoms, so we take time to notice patterns in emotions, relationships, and coping styles. As we move forward, our work becomes collaborative and tailored to your needs. I draw from attachment-based therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic approaches to help you process emotions, unlearn patterns that no longer serve you, and build healthier ways of relating to yourself and others. I balance insight with practical tools you can apply in daily life, and we regularly check in on progress to ensure therapy feels supportive, meaningful, and aligned with your goals. My role is to walk alongside you as you grow into your fullest potential.
