Getting to know Nicole OKeefe

Are you a parent or guardian seeking support for your school-age child experiencing anxiety or depression? Does your teen need help increasing their self-esteem or self-advocacy skills? Or maybe you're a college-age student or young adult looking for help navigating feelings of overwhelm and stressful life transitions. The hardest part about getting help is asking, and you did it! My name is Nicole O’Keefe, and I’m an energetic Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida with over 15 years of experience working with preschool-age children, adolescents, and young adults. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of South Florida. I have a passion for individual counseling, focusing on identifying and building client strengths using growth mindset and mindfulness techniques. I believe engaging clients and building an honest and trusting rapport is key to success. I look forward to helping you along your journey to find the best version of you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Sessions with me will begin with meeting you where you are at the present moment. We will focus on what has worked for you or been positives since our last visit as well as what are some areas you would like to change or improve upon. Maintaining a strengths perspective is important during the therapeutic process and a great skill to learn for everyday life. Each session, you will know you have a therapist in your corner who is there to listen and guide you through your process. We will come up with an area of focus and agree upon attainable goals to work toward meeting your treatment needs.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits
