Nicole Purcell is a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor practicing under the supervision of Leslie Lloyd (2017 022256). Nicole graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. While attending Ole Miss, she played on the volleyball team for four years. After graduation, she earned her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Missouri State University. During her master's program, Nicole served as the graduate assistant for the Missouri State volleyball team for two years. This role allowed her to explore the coaching side of athletics while emphasizing and adapting mental health support for student-athletes. After completing her degree, she moved back home to Kansas City to be closer to family and begin her counseling journey. Nicole shares, “In my free time, you can find me coaching club volleyball, spending time with family and friends, going on outdoor adventures, and of course, watching the Chiefs!” She specializes in sports therapy and confidence building, anxiety, depression, trauma, play therapy, and family/relationship issues for adolescents and adults seeking individual or family counseling. Nicole hopes to help you with anything you may need to ensure a safe, healthy, and happy lifestyle.
