Ideally, they want to grow and face challenges to increase their confidence, self-esteem, and ability to cope with life's difficulties. I have worked with substance use, co-occurring disorders, mood disorders, and autism throughout my career. I especially like to help those with personal experiences or who grew up in families where addiction was prominent. When we grow up in environments where mental health issues are evident, trauma often accompanies those experiences, and we will unpack that together. Finding a therapist you “click” with can be challenging. My goal is to meet clients where they are and build a solid relationship that helps them feel comfortable. I also provide a judgment-free zone, as it is essential for both client and clinician to feel comfortable communicating openly. I hold a Master's degree in Forensic Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor's degree from the City University of New York, John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
