What should a new client know about working with you?

I approach therapy with warmth, compassion, and a genuine desire to understand your unique story. I believe that healing happens in a safe, supportive relationship, and my goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and respected. My therapy style is collaborative and client-centered, which means we’ll work together to identify your goals and the pace that feels right for you. I draw from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and trauma-informed care to support your emotional well-being and personal growth. Whether you're navigating life transitions, relationship struggles, or past trauma, our sessions will be tailored to meet your individual needs. You can expect a nonjudgmental and open environment where you’re encouraged to explore your thoughts and feelings freely. In our work together, I aim to help you gain insight, build resilience, and create meaningful change in your life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in trust. During our first session, I’ll spend time getting to know you—what’s bringing you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you hope to get out of our work together. I may ask questions about your history, relationships, and current emotional patterns to get a more complete picture. Our sessions typically last 45-50 minutes and are structured around your goals. Some clients come in with something specific they want to talk about, while others use the time to explore what’s coming up emotionally in the moment. I tailor each session to meet you where you are, whether that means offering tools and strategies for coping or creating space for deeper reflection and healing. If you're seeking a psychiatric evaluation or medication management, the initial session will be more diagnostic, involving a thorough review of symptoms, medical history, and treatment goals. I do incorporate talk therapy into psychiatric care as appropriate, so we may integrate both medication support and therapeutic conversation. Above all, my goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported—at your pace and on your terms.
