I am 1000% grateful for finding her as a therapist as I struggled finding one who supported me and challenged me. Getting to know Nicole Ryan

My passion is helping clients discover skills to manage anxiety, challenge thought traps, question negative thinking patterns, explore self-identity, and reduce depressive states through processing emotions, learning mindfulness, and implementing healthy coping skills. If you are feeling frustrated with past, present, or future worries, we can explore EMDR together to allow the brain to heal naturally. We can create goals, big or small, to uncover strengths and reduce feelings of being stuck. I also like to bring breathwork, grounding techniques, and tapping into sessions to build a sense of calm and create peace. I hold an MSEd in Counseling from Indiana University and am certified in Trauma Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma Informed Yoga. I use an empathetic, strength-based approach with foundations in CBT, EMDR, and Motivational Interviewing. I can assist you in learning how to express emotions, communicate effectively, practice self-acceptance, and make changes that promote a sense of clarity and ease.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In the first session, we will discuss what you want out of therapy! Together we will brainstorm goals after exploring history, current needs, concerns, and barriers to success on your own. We will identify things that are going well, and also potential areas for change. Ongoing sessions will include suggestions to actively cope and potential skills to try at home to manage anxiety or overcome barriers.

In-network insurances

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

She is the first therapist that actually gives me tangible advice and strategies to use for the issues Im going through. She is so kind and a good listener. She remembers a lot of details of things that I share with her which tells me that she truly cares about me and is invested in helping me to make changes.
