Nicole Sielsky is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in Altamonte Springs, FL, who is passionate about helping individuals navigate life's complexities. With a master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Barry University, Nicole brings a mosaic of experience when supporting clients through the challenges of anxiety, ADHD, relationship issues, life transitions, and personal growth. Nicole believes that change is inevitable and that learning how to adapt is a lifelong process. Drawing on her own experiences of being diagnosed with ADHD later in life, she deeply resonates with clients navigating similar challenges. She strives to help individuals recognize their inherent strengths-what she fondly refers to as their "superpowers"-and supports them in creating meaningful changes that align with their goals and aspirations. Her therapeutic approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered methodologies. By challenging unhelpful thought patterns and encouraging self-reflection, Nicole helps her clients develop tools to process emotions, build resilience, and overcome obstacles. She values and emphasizes humor, kindness, and accountability in therapy, recognizing that sometimes laughter can be the best medicine as we confront life's discomforts. Nicole also integrates her multicultural background, coming from a large Latin and American family, into her counseling work. She is sensitive to how societal influences shape the way we perceive and process information, and she welcomes conversations that explore identity, culture, and the nuances of navigating our ever-changing world.

What should a new client know about working with you?

As you consider embarking on this journey with me, it's important for you to know that my approach to mental health counseling is centered around compassion, inclusivity, and empathy. I understand the complexities and challenges of diverse life experiences, and I'm here to offer a safe, understanding space. My practice is tailored to your unique identity, respecting and integrating factors like gender, race, ethnicity, and abilities. Together, we will work towards understanding the psychological, emotional, and social stressors in your life while empowering and equipping you to navigate and grow through them. Our goal is to thrive - transforming challenges into opportunities for personal development and resilience. This journey is about crafting a narrative of strength and self-awareness, where you emerge equipped to face life with renewed confidence and clarity.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

*Please note that all bookings on ZocDoc are exclusively for complimentary 15-minute consultation phone calls, not for the first therapy session. A 15-minute consultation call is a required first step for all new clients prior to scheduling your initial therapy session.* Welcome to the first step in our transformative journey together. My process for engaging with new clients begins with an initial consultation phone call conducted by a compassionate member of the GoodWerk Counseling team. This call is an introduction to our services and the beginning of understanding your unique story. During this complimentary 15-minute consultation call, you’ll discuss our services and get answers to any of your questions to ensure you feel fully informed before starting your therapeutic journey. Once you're ready to move forward, you'll dive deeper in a comprehensive 60-minute initial intake session with me. This session isn't just about meeting and getting to understand your background, challenges, and what brought you to seek counseling, it's also about building a connection to form a therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, valued, and understood. Here, we'll begin our work together to develop a personalized treatment plan that is crafted to support and address your unique needs and goals. In our recurring sessions, you'll find yourself in an empowering role, not just receiving care but actively engaging in self-discovery and growth. As we progress, you'll notice changes – not just in how you cope with challenges, but in how you view yourself and your place in the world. Our journey is about healing, growth, and transformation, and I am here to support you every step of the way. Let's embark on this path together, towards a brighter, healthier future.
