Psychotherapist

I nurture a safe space for my clients to process and navigate traumatic life events, challenging transitions, difficult relational dynamics, maladaptive behavioral patterns, and complex mental health symptoms through person-centered, systems-minded, and evidence-based interventions. I believe that compassion and trust (with self and others) are essential elements for growth. My approach is thoughtful, creative, collaborative, culturally-affirming, trauma-informed, and resiliency-oriented. I lead with presence, warmth, curiosity, and unconditional acceptance. I want you to feel empowered with the wisdom, tools, and confidence you need to heal, grow, and thrive. Together, we'll explore how your life experiences, needs, boundaries, and beliefs show up in your thoughts, feelings, actions, relationships, and body. With this self-awareness, you'll find new coping strategies, greater agency, and deeper fulfillment. I understand that it can be hard to open up and face the heavier parts of the human experience. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life changes, interpersonal conflict, or identity exploration, I'm here, and honored, to bear it with you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

As we process the challenges you're facing, we'll also delve into various coping strategies, examining their effectiveness and compatibility with your personality, values, and circumstances. Whether it's mindfulness exercises, cognitive restructuring, creative expression, or interpersonal skill building, I tailor my approach to meet each person's specific needs and preferences. You'll find that I like to utilize elements of CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, experiential therapies, and attachment theory in my sessions. I also love to integrate many different mediums of expression: conversation, art, play, writing, music, movement, etc.
