Psychotherapist
TX
The provider is supervised by Sweta Venkataramanan. I’m a warm, collaborative therapist who believes therapy should feel both supportive and genuinely helpful—not just a place to vent, but a space where real change can happen. I work with teens and adults navigating anxiety, self-esteem challenges, relationship and attachment patterns, and life transitions. Many of my clients are insightful and high-functioning, yet feel overwhelmed, stuck in cycles of overthinking, or disconnected from themselves. My approach blends evidence-based techniques with a more relational, down-to-earth style. I draw from modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment-based work, and person-centered therapy, while always tailoring sessions to what actually fits you. I’m not a “one-size-fits-all” therapist—I believe your therapy should feel like it’s built around your needs, your goals, and your pace. In our work together, we focus on understanding your patterns, building emotional awareness, and developing practical tools you can use in your everyday life. I also value creating a space that feels safe, nonjudgmental, and real—where you can show up exactly as you are, without pressure to have it all figured out. Therapy with me is a balance of validation and gentle challenge. I’ll support you, but I’ll also help you grow. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, more confident, and more connected to yourself and your relationships.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Working with me feels conversational, supportive, and collaborative. I’m not the type of therapist who just nods and says “mmhmm”—I’m engaged, present, and actively working with you in session. You can expect a mix of processing, reflection, and practical tools that you can actually apply outside of therapy. I work best with clients who are open to exploring themselves, even if they don’t fully know where to start. You don’t need to come in with everything figured out—that’s what we’ll do together. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns, or just know something isn’t quite right, we’ll work to make sense of it in a way that feels manageable and empowering. I also understand that therapy can feel intimidating or even vulnerable at first. My goal is to create an environment where you feel safe, respected, and not judged. You can show up messy, unsure, or guarded—that’s okay. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. At the same time, I do believe in growth and accountability. I’ll gently challenge patterns that may be keeping you stuck and support you in building new ways of thinking, feeling, and relating. Therapy is your space, and I’m here to help guide you through it in a way that feels both honest and supportive.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session is focused on getting to know you—what’s bringing you in, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. We’ll talk through your history, current challenges, and any goals you may have, while also making sure you feel comfortable and supported. From there, we begin to identify patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We’ll explore how past experiences, relationships, and beliefs may be influencing what you’re going through now. This helps us create a clearer understanding of what’s happening and where we want to go. As we continue working together, sessions become a mix of deeper processing and skill-building. This might include learning ways to manage anxiety, regulate emotions, improve communication, or shift unhelpful thought patterns. I focus on giving you tools that are realistic and usable in your everyday life—not just concepts that stay in the therapy room. Throughout the process, we regularly check in on your progress and adjust our approach as needed. Therapy isn’t linear, and your needs may evolve over time. My goal is to support you in building insight, confidence, and lasting change—so you not only feel better, but also feel more equipped to navigate life moving forward.
