Getting to know Noah Cohen
I received my master's degree in Psychology from Long Island University and a master's degree in Social Work from New York University's Silver School. As a therapist, I have helped countless clients find relief from depression, OCD, phobias, anxiety, and trauma. Through a unique combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-focused approaches, I will guide you toward greater levels of well-being and wholeness.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Do you struggle with obsessive thoughts or debilitating phobias? Is your experience of life obscured by anxiety and depression? Is past trauma preventing you from being free in the present moment? Any of these issues can be beyond overwhelming. You may have tried to deal with them on your own only to find nothing changed. But you no longer have to do this alone
What is your typical process for working with clients?
In our sessions together we will work through any challenges that stand in the way of your peace and happiness. In a safe and nonjudgmental place, you can share anything that feels important to express. Through this well-attuned process, you will find greater calm, courage, and clarity.

Noah is absolutely everything you’d look for in a counselor - he is thoughtful, introspective and a great listener. He worked hard to understand the issues I brought to him and helped me work through this with an effective, formulaic approach. I would recommend Noah for “talk therapy”, CBT and everything in between

My visits with Noah are therapeutic. I feel relaxed, recharged and ready to unlock a new level of myself. I love the idea of having “Betterment” weekly assignments, even in my adult age. It gives me something to look forward to. Also with reviewing my assignments with Noah, it allows me to have a new understanding of myself. Even though Noah and I have just begun sessions several weeks ago, I definitely look forward to my up and coming ones! Thank you Noah!

I have been struggling with OCD on and off since my childhood and have been to over 10 psychologists in the past with very little success. I have had just 5 sessions with Noah so far and we are working on techniques to help manage my obsessive tendencies and quell them to so far great success. If you are struggling with similar issues I highly recommend giving him a try.
I also appreciate the organization he works within, very attentive support staff, professional and easy intake, and easy billing process. Noah also has been very flexible with his schedule and accommodating there as well.

Noah as been wonderful! I feel like all my sessions have been very productive! I get homework at the end of every session, so I can continue to practice using my tools outside of therapy as well. I see a light at the end of the tunnel now!

It's too early to really give a good review, but so far Noah's been very easy to talk to, and gives clear goals for the next week.

Noah is incredibly helpful and accepting. Shows me my true self without teaching or educating, just by guiding carefully and with patience.

Noah is a great listener and provides thought-provoking feedback. I appreciate our sessions and look forward to them. I also appreciate the (optional) “homework” assignments which remind me to be mindful of what I’m learning in therapy even when I’m not in a session.

This is HANDS-DOWN the most empathic and kind office I’ve ever worked with. From the first time I spoke to the front desk, I felt welcomed and heard. Noah, is a wonderful professional who takes time to hear my concerns while giving me tools to lead a safer more complete life! I am so thankful to have found them!

I've been looking forward to my weekly sessions with Noah and highly, highly recommend him as a therapist. He pays careful attention to what you say and always asks engaging questions. Furthermore, he allows you to work through your thoughts and emotions at your pace, with supporting homework to help the process in between sessions. I feel truly lucky to have found him without needing to try out several therapists. Thank you Noah ??

Meets me where I'm at. Provide flexibility in structure and cadence based on current situation. Welcoming and approachable but is able to keep me accountable. Focus on future, but reminds of path/past enough to inform healthy movement forward.

Dr. Cohen is very patient and a good listener. He is the first therapist I've had that gives me homework and pushes me to be more proactive in my own self care. I am very grateful for his patience and guidance while discussing my mental health.

Noah Cohen is an outstanding therapist! From the moment we started I felt comfortable and heard. He has a kind and gentle demeanor, but is also able to challenge me when I need it. Noah creates a safe space for me to explore my thoughts and emotions, and has helped me to gain new insights and make positive changes in my life. I am grateful to have found such a skilled and compassionate therapist in Noah.

Noah is a knowledgeable therapist, and his bedside demeanor is impeccable. He is a great listener, at the same time that he always pushes you to explore deeper certain topics that you bring up during the sessions. He also provides you with topics for you to explore by yourself between sessions as activities or journal entries. This has helped me to analyze some of the issues that I have been dealing with in a more thorough manner.
Besides that, Noah is a great professional. Rescheduling was done without any issues, he is always on time, and he always let me know in advance if there were any technological problems.

Noah is a good listener and very patient when I struggle to coherently express myself. He's worked with me in every session to try out a variety of mental exercises to better manage my thoughts and emotions while also offering an encouraging nudge for me to pursue personal and professional goals I've been struggling to tackle.

Noah has been incredibly helpful to me, even in the short time we have been working together. He asks great questions, listens / gives space where necessary to let you work out your learnings yourself, and mixes in the right amount of education to help me as a patient cement what we are discussing. I had never gone to therapy previously and would highly recommend him to anyone looking to try.
