As a licensed professional counselor and board-certified music therapist with a PhD in Creative Arts Therapies from Drexel University and a Master’s in Music Therapy from Temple University, I have worked with adults across the age spectrum for 15 years on chronic and progressive illnesses, death and dying, pre-bereavement, and grief. When facing such significant life transitions, it is important that all involved individuals have a compassionate space to process their experiences and plan for the future. Using a combination of motivational interviewing, humanism, and Gestalt therapy, we will explore avenues for moving forward in ways that help you feel empowered and emboldened, ready to face the coming journey and the meaning it may bring.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I approach our work from the perspective that you already possess the necessary resources to build the resilience, strength, and courage to cultivate meaning from all lived experiences. My job is not to give you something that you already have; rather, it is to help you look inward to discover and activate all your potential for growth and transformation. My promise is to bear witness from a place of compassionate curiosity, to receive you as the the expert on your journey, and to center your expertise as I join you in that journey. All lived experiences offer the promise to develop profound meaning-making, and I am committed to that cultivating process with you through creative and open-ended explorations.
