Psychotherapist

I have OCD. I know what it's like and how you can get better. I've worked to manage my OCD, and I want to share that hope with others. I will meet you where you are and encourage you to challenge yourself to get to where you want to be. This is a safe place where you can be honest and open about your struggles. I love seeing people get better. My other areas of professional focus include PTSD, social anxiety disorder, and depression. My personal connection to OCD and mental health I started having OCD symptoms when I was a toddler but I wasn't diagnosed until my 20s. I've had several different subtypes, including symmetry, order, magical thinking as a child, and then hit and run OCD is what finally got me diagnosed. I went through three different therapists before they finally figured out what was going on and got an appropriate diagnosis and treatment. Having those experiences led me to become a therapist. That's why I have a heart for doing this job and wanting people to get better. How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy I want you to know that I've struggled too. If you want to know about my story, I'm more than happy to share it. And it would be very shocking for me if someone could surprise me with whatever their obsession is. I've heard everything. There's no judgment. My message to you if you're struggling right now If you don't try something new, you're probably going to stay stuck where you're at. So I would say, give it a try. What's the worst that will happen? Either you'll stay where you are, or you could get better. And there's a really good likelihood that you could get better. There's so much evidence for the efficacy of ERP therapy. So it's worth a try. What my Members say helps them feel comfortable with me They say that I'm friendly, warm, compassionate, and empathetic, and they seem to think I'm a good motivator because I'm always telling them, "Hey, you can do this."
