Getting to know Nora Cuellar Ortiz
My name is Nora Cuellar, and I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Florida with over 5 years of clinical experience. I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology from Albizu University. I specialize in working with individuals, couples, and families experiencing relational issues, helping them manage and reduce anxiety, depression, and other symptoms.
I assist individuals in improving their communication skills, assertiveness, addressing generational trauma, trust and self-esteem issues, conflict resolution, and more. My clinical experience also includes working with substance abuse and addiction, clients from diverse ethnicities, cultures, and backgrounds, as well as those from the LGBTQ+ community.
In my sessions, I use evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Intergenerational Family Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy.
I take a systemic approach to therapy, focusing on how an individual’s personal relationships, behavioral patterns, and life choices are interconnected with the challenges they face.
My approach is to be an active listener and collaborator in each client’s unique journey toward well-being and self-improvement. My goal is for you to feel welcomed, supported, and accepted throughout the therapeutic process until you feel empowered and inspired to move forward to the next chapter of your life.

Nora has a particular way to connect with you in a very professional way. I’ve felt really comfortable during our sessions to be able to open up enough, which is hard for me, and she always knows how to make me feel at least a lil bit better than the day before. She sounds like an older sister who just wants you to find yourself and will fight your battles by your side, without taking the starring role, cuz she’s there to give you the weapons to fight. Highly recommended :)

I’ve had therapists before but no one is like Nora. I’ve been with her for almost a year. She’s very warm and listens attentively. My favorite thing about her is how she helps me find the answers of things within myself cause that makes me be more in contact with my emotions and every time our sessions end I feel a huge weight off my shoulders. Having therapy with her has impacted my life in all sorts of positive ways and I would always recommend her.
