Getting to know Nora Tucker

I enjoy working with clients of all ages from children to adolescents, and adults. I received my first masters degree in developmental psychology and I am well equipped to help children and/or families navigate emotion regulation and emotional development. Through my training as a marriage and family therapist I am specialized in working with couples and families, however I also work with individuals! In my work with adults and couples, I believe that fostering an understanding of ourselves and our loved ones is essential for healthy relationships. I take a solutions focused and client centered approach to therapy. I view my client as the expert and emphasize clients’ autonomy. I take a systemic relational approach to therapy, thus I consider the impacts of relationships, culture, power, and larger societal systems on your life. I focus on my clients goals and how we can take small steps towards them. Through this work, I realized that I wanted to understand people on a more individual and personal level. I believe in the power of connection and community, and I want my career to serve my community. My goal is to help my clients foster healthy relationships and a deeper understanding of their emotions.
