Getting to know Nuria Lynch-Comer

My area of expertise is in treating trauma, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. I primarily provide treatment to women. As an immigrant, a woman, and a person of color, I am sensitive to how race, gender, socioeconomic status, culture, and ethnicity color our experiences. I use an integrative approach that incorporates evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, MBSR, and other modalities. I help you identify tools that you can start to utilize to enhance your life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

All my clients are seen for weekly sessions to build a therapeutic rapport and to work collaboratively on treatment goals. Therapy is most effective with consistency and a commitment to doing the inner work necessary to create change. A therapist can act as a guide as well as a catalyst for change. I welcome the opportunity to support you in your healing journey. I am an LGBTQ+ ally

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The initial session consists of gathering history and your reasons for seeking care. Subsequent sessions will focus on addressing your concerns and improving your coping skills.
