My name is Ofra Markowitz, and I am a licensed clinical social worker specializing in individual, couples, and family therapy. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from New York University and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University.
I work with a broad range of clients. Among my areas of expertise are Childhood Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, Eating Disorders, Marital Conflicts, Divorce, Loss and Grief, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Aging, and more. I am a dynamic, solution-focused, psychodynamic therapist who promotes self-care and mindfulness. Building relationships is the essence of successful treatment.
I am warm, engaging, and profoundly empathetic. Born and raised in Israel, I served in the Israeli Defense Forces. I have lived in the United States for over 30 years and understand the multicultural lifestyle and the struggles attached to it.

My time spent with Ofra has been healing and enjoyable. She is empathetic and thoughtful and gives me relevant and helpful advice that resonates with me. I would recommend Ofra as a psychotherapist because she is understanding of your needs, creates a safe space for you where you can comfortably share, and her calmness and consistency is grounding and reliable. Her schedule is flexible and she has shown to always make time for me. I loved going to her office to meet with her face-to-face. After moving, we have continued sessions via phone which proves her being so accommodating, a rarity in doctors. Definitely meet with Ofra, you will be on path to healing/feeling better because of it.
