I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a National Certified Counselor practicing in North Carolina. I earned my master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. With over three years of experience, I help children and adults overcome anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, trauma, self-injurious behavior, low self-esteem, and relationship challenges. I also provide couples therapy using the Gottman Method, a leading research-based approach to improving relationships.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I offer a very welcoming, laid-back, and warm approach to new clients. I often use humor and will ask thought-provoking questions to help you and myself better understand your feelings and experiences. I tailor my methods based on the needs of my clients utilizing aspects of various modalities, such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), attachment theory, Gottman Method, and existential theory. I have received additional training in cultural diversity and LGBTQIA+ affirming care. I am passionate about helping people improve their boundaries with others, increase their self-esteem, and navigate conflicts within their relationships. My personal life experience have also allowed me to empathize with suicide survivors and processing grief stemming from the suicide of a loved one.
