Olivia Falcone, LPC

Psychotherapist
6440 N Central Ave, Chicago, IL
I view the process and practice of therapy as a journey in which clients are given the space to discover, understand, and heal parts of themselves at their own pace. I hold the belief that each client has an innate capacity for growth and healing. My role is to offer a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment that supports clients in exploring their inner world and connecting to their own wisdom. I believe change happens through acceptance and understanding. I emphasize empathy, acceptance, and genuineness. I believe these conditions create a safe and supportive space for clients to feel understood and accepted as they are, fostering trust and openness that leads to change. As a queer woman, I feel immensely grateful to specialize in working with fellow queer community members. I am passionate about promoting accessibility for WPATH letters and love working with clients who are curious about or critical of the systems we are a part of and how that relates to how we see ourselves. I also particularly enjoy working with adolescents. I am firmly of the belief that none of us are free until all of us are free, and therapy is an inherently political space. I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Northwestern University and hold a Bachelor’s degree from DePaul University, which have both shaped my approach to therapy and deepened my commitment to social justice and client-centered care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am interested in all things pertaining to queer affirmative therapy; utilizing parts work to help clients understand and heal the various aspects of themselves that may have been shaped by societal expectations, trauma, or internalized stigma; and I enjoy exploring the complexities of queer relationships, including polyamory, monogamy, and chosen families. This includes addressing issues like communication, boundaries, and intimacy within diverse relational frameworks.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

If you were one of my clients, you'd likely experience a therapeutic space that is both safe and compassionate, where you are deeply listened to and respected. I strive to create an environment where you feel accepted exactly as you are—even when that is tough to foster internally. My goal is to be a compassionate witness to all parts of you, helping you feel genuinely seen and heard without judgment.
