Psychotherapist
2273 Research Blvd, Ste 520, Gaithersburg, MD
Every story deserves to be witnessed, and whatever has brought you here, my goal is for you to feel heard, understood, and supported. As a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), I believe that we all need a safe, soft place to land when sharing our stories, and that is exactly what I offer you. With experience working with individuals across the lifespan, I'm particularly passionate about supporting adolescents and adults who are navigating identity exploration, trauma, life transitions, and anxiety. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel difficult or even scary, but you don't have to do it alone. Together, we work toward a deeper understanding of yourself, greater self-compassion, and a clearer picture of how your past experiences have shaped how you show up in the world today.

What should a new client know about working with you?

DISCLAIMER: We are not able to accept Medicare or Medicaid plans at this time. As a member of the queer community, I have experienced firsthand the profound healing nature of affirming, inclusive therapy. That experience deepened my commitment to providing that same level of care to all patients, with a particular dedication to those who identify as LGBTQIA+ or hold another marginalized identity. I understand how hard it can be to show up as yourself in the world, and strive to create a space where you and your story are welcome and safe.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Each of us already possesses the capacity for healing, and I am honored to walk alongside you as you take the next step toward the life you desire. My approach is person-centered, compassionate, and curious, with cultural humility and inclusivity prioritized in every session. You can expect all parts of who you are to be embraced in the therapy room, and for me to remain genuinely curious about how your unique experiences have shaped both your strengths and your challenges. Drawing from evidence-based modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I also recognize the healing power of art, music, movement, and nature. Above all, our work will be collaborative, shaped by your goals and grounded in your values.
