“"I’ve only had one session so far, but if you’re looking for a Christian therapist, you will enjoy working with her. If you’re not used to speaking with someone who has an accent, you may find the session a bit challenging. However, I did not have that issue—I truly enjoyed speaking with her and I’m glad I booked again." ”

Getting to know Olushola Bakare

The provider is a “Marriage & Family Therapist" and their license number is 37FI00204400 My name is Dr. Olushola Bakare, and I'm a board-certified Psychotherapist. I attended the University of Saint Joseph, where I earned my Master's in Mental Health Counseling. I'm happy to help you today with any of your concerns. I enjoy empowering people and uncovering their strengths. I don't ask fish to fly, neither do I ask birds to swim. I respect everyone's strengths and help my clients become aware of theirs. I love to highlight my clients' strengths. I offer a safe, warm, therapeutic, judgment-free space for Adults (18+) and Older Adults (65+). It is my ethical duty to officially terminate our therapeutic relationship when it is reasonably clear the client is no longer benefitting, when services are no longer required, when counseling no longer serves the needs and/or interests of the client, or when my LMFT limits do not allow the provision of further counseling services. It is the policy of Dr. Olushola Bakare, LMFT, that after a one-month consistent lapse in meeting with a client, our professional relationship will be considered terminated. I will make an attempt to notify you of this change in status as soon as possible after the one-month period. It is my ethical duty to identify, be available for, and care for current clients. This could possibly feel awkward for our relationship to end, yet it is not meant to be discourteous in any way.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I provide a safe and nurturing environment where we get to know one another. After we will work collaboratively on what you want to achieve from our meeting and subsequent appointments are made.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Thank you Ola, you made me a better person!
Dr. Olu is an amazing therapist who cares about her clients and empowers them to make positive changes and helps put things into perspective.
As a ADHDer, I appreciate most how she allows me to ask questions and make comments as they pop in my mind without the stigmatism of interrupting her conversation. When I catch myself about to cut her off mid-sentence, she welcomingly says, "go ahead". Hence, she is very patience with me.
