Getting to know Paige Martindale

I believe that healing begins with feeling truly seen, heard, and understood. My goal as a counselor is to create a warm, supportive space where clients can safely explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear of judgment. I understand that reaching out for help can feel overwhelming, and I strive to make the counseling process approachable, collaborative, and empowering. My background working with individuals affected by trauma, brain injuries, family conflict, and child advocacy has strengthened my passion for helping people navigate life’s challenges with compassion and resilience. I value authenticity, emotional connection, and practical support, and I work to help clients better understand themselves while building healthier coping skills and relationships. I believe every person deserves support that honors their unique experiences, strengths, and goals. Whether someone is struggling with anxiety, stress, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, or relationship difficulties, I aim to walk alongside them with empathy, encouragement, and care. The provider is supervised by Cary Scott.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor and I completed my Master’s degree from The Chicago School of Psychology. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Oklahoma State University and I bring experience working in both clinical and community-based mental health settings. I previously worked at Texas Neuropsychology Group, where I administers cognitive assessments for individuals with traumatic brain injuries and contributes to clinical documentation and patient care. I also have experience with child advocacy work through CASA, research in maternal mental health and child development, and mentorship in crisis intervention and family support settings. My approach to counseling is compassionate, client-centered, and trauma-informed. I am passionate about helping individuals feel supported while developing insight, emotional awareness, and practical tools for growth. My background in research, mental health advocacy, and direct client support allows me to approach therapy with both empathy and professionalism. I am committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment where clients can work through challenges, build resilience, and move toward meaningful personal growth.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if it is your first time reaching out for support. Paige understands this and works to create a comfortable, relaxed environment where clients can feel safe being themselves. Clients working with Paige can expect a collaborative and supportive experience. She believes therapy should move at a pace that feels comfortable and respectful to each individual’s needs. Paige focuses on building trust and helping clients feel genuinely heard while working together to better understand emotions, patterns, relationships, and life stressors. Her style is warm, encouraging, and nonjudgmental. She values open communication and believes that therapy is not about “having all the answers,” but about creating space for growth, healing, and self-discovery. Paige enjoys helping clients develop practical coping skills while also exploring deeper emotional experiences that may be contributing to current challenges. She is especially passionate about supporting individuals navigating anxiety, stress, trauma-related experiences, life transitions, emotional burnout, and relationship or family difficulties. Paige strives to help clients leave sessions feeling supported, empowered, and equipped with tools they can apply in everyday life.
