Paisley Taylor, LCMHC

Psychotherapist
NC
My name is Paisley, and I am so glad you found me on your journey! Therapy is virtually the only space where you can truly explore yourself with no apologies or distractions. As a therapist with a Master’s in Counseling, I assist my clients in discovering and validating themselves. True self-love is rooted in accepting all aspects of who you are and what you’ve been through—good, bad, or indifferent. Together, we will master self-awareness, which leads to authentic self-acceptance, a positive change in perspective, and achieving desired outcomes. My clients are open to reflecting on past and present experiences that influence them, their outlook, and their relationships. They are willing to explore unhealthy generational cycles and patterns that have left them feeling stuck, less-than, and discouraged. I love when clients make breakthroughs during therapy because that is where real-life changes happen! I welcome all backgrounds and have a passion for working with Black, African American, and other people of color because it is so much easier to be vulnerable and open with someone who “gets it.” Trust me, therapy isn’t always self-love, sunshine, and great quotes! Therapy can be very uncomfortable, mainly because we explore aspects of ourselves that aren’t so put together or that we’ve been taught to ignore. I aim to provide a space where you can unpack and move through life with a lighter load. Having lived and trained at Medaille Residence Hall, I bring genuine collaboration to the healing process, helping you take control in a healthy way. I draw from compassion, affirmations, and a strengths-based perspective to highlight your capabilities throughout your journey. Allow me to offer you a safe, nonjudgmental space to help you achieve the life you deserve!
