Getting to know Palmer McCluskey

At some point, everyone finds themselves feeling stuck. The relationship that feels impossible to navigate. The uncomfortable action that you avoid. The harsh and condemning perspective you have towards yourself. The addiction that you can't seem to shake. We know that we need to live differently, but we continue to find ourselves reverting back to our old ways. This is an inevitable part of the human experience, and we can't seem to fix ourselves by trying harder (trust me, I have also tried!). Reaching out to me could be the courageous first step that you take towards the life that you desire deep down.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapy is a process, just as life is a process/journey! With that in mind, I want to set a realistic expectation that I don't have "magic answers" that will immediately eliminate unwanted symptoms or feelings. Those who benefit most from psychotherapy are those who implement and apply insights gained from therapy to their lives outside of sessions.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Psychotherapy sessions with me can look a lot of different ways, but they will always be structured in a way that helps you to achieve your goals. My primary goal is to cultivate a healing, therapeutic relationship with you. Along the way, I may introduce some coping skills, theories of psychotherapy, or other concepts and resources to help you to achieve your goals.

I'm currently out of network with all insurance companies, but I can provide a super bill for you to file an out-of-network insurance claim yourself. My rate is $180 per 50 minute session. I can sometimes provide a reduced rate based on financial need.
