Psychotherapist
CO
Hello, I'm Pamela, a licensed psychotherapist and certified addiction counselor. Whether you're seeking help for anxiety, trauma, emotional wounds, relationship struggles, or substance abuse, I'm here to support you on your journey to healing. I understand that accumulated traumas from childhood are not uncommon, and anxiety, while a natural instinct, can often surface even when there's no real danger. This can stem from stored traumatic memories and can negatively impact your relationships and daily life. It's not unusual for individuals to turn to substances to numb these feelings, but together, we can work to reduce and manage these symptoms effectively. In our sessions, I utilize a variety of therapeutic tools including EMDR, CBT, DBT, EFCT, and EFT. I also focus on processing your narrative and problem-solving. With my training in neuropsychology, I can help you understand how your brain works in relation to anxiety and trauma, and demonstrate how our solutions can aid in your healing. This can even be done through our telehealth sessions, where I can show you a model of the brain and explain the processes in detail. My background is extensive, with training in Functional Medicine, Buddhism, Self Realization, and A Course In Miracles. This holistic approach, combining East-West practices, allows me to support you wherever you are and help you move forward in the way that feels right for you. Having been in private practice for 17 years, and growing up in a family that suffered from stress-induced anxiety, I bring both professional and personal experience to our work together. Thank you for considering working with me. I look forward to meeting you and embarking on this healing journey together.
