I utilize a person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach to help clients cope with and find meaning in their experiences. I understand and value that each individual's experience is their own, and I do not believe any treatment or intervention is one-size-fits-all. I aim to provide a safe and empathic space that empowers clients to recognize their strength and resilience, and to feel in control of their therapeutic journey. I work with individuals across the lifespan, and I especially enjoy working with college students, young adults, and adults. I am licensed to see clients in Illinois and Ohio.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I bring curiosity, authenticity, and compassion into sessions to build a trusting partnership with clients. I pull from a variety of modalities to offer clients, including EMDR, IFS, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness, in order to offer a treatment plan that is aligned with each individual’s goals. My clinical experience includes working with individuals coping with symptoms of complex PTSD, anxiety, depression, childhood abuse and neglect, sexual abuse and assault, intimate partner violence, human trafficking, major life transitions, difficult relationships, identity exploration, and issues related to self-esteem and self-worth.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Once you book with me, I will email you to set up intake paperwork and to check your insurance benefits. I will then schedule a free consultation with you so that we can determine if this feels like a good therapeutic fit. Once we agree, we will then set up regular weekly meetings. I go over all diagnoses, treatment plans, and any recommendations with you. All of our work is collaborative, honest, and transparent.
