What should a new client know about working with you?

I know it can be hard to reach out for help. You may have been hoping things would get better with time and trying to find answers on your own. You don't have to do this alone. I am here to support you on your journey to healing. Whether you are dealing with relationships issues, job stress, health concerns, anxiety, depression or trauma...you don't have to tackle it alone. I have over 30 years of experience working with clients of all ages (4-100) as well as couples and families. I am trained in EMDR and Brainspotting and use evidence based techniques that lead to healing and growth. I have experience working with individuals and families impacted by adoption, attachment, and grief. Therapy is not "one size fits all" so my experience with a variety of models and practices will allow us to find the best way for you to address your struggles. I focus on the positive and what is going well in order to empower you to achieve success in the areas where you want to see change. Together, we will identify your goals and the steps needed to reach them!

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When we meet you can expect to leave feeling heard, understood and more hopeful that change is possible. Our sessions will be a safe place for you to express your thoughts and feelings and to consider your options. You are in control and while you may not know how to make the changes you need, you will be the one who knows when things are better. My job is to offer support, encouragement, ideas, questions and opportunity for self discovery so you have the freedom to heal and change in the way that works best for you.
