Getting to know Patrice Hutson
If you are experiencing anxiety that is becoming more overwhelming and difficult to cope with, I would want to work with you to empower you and create positive changes in your life. I specialize in working with individuals nineteen years old and up, as well as older adults in the New York area, who are experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, chronic health conditions, life transitions, and grief. I hold a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Hunter College, City University of New York, which has equipped me with the skills to support you through these challenges.
What should a new client know about working with you?
As a client-centered, culturally competent, and compassionate therapist with several years working in the field of mental health, I would want to work with you to determine the best approach based on your unique perspective and experiences. This includes a collaborative approach with the utilization of evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
You will receive a confirmation email from our office once your booking is confirmed. We have some preliminary documentation for you to complete within the ZocDoc system. However, due to varying needs, you will receive a link from our office to complete any additional forms. We ask that you complete all forms prior to your appointment so that we can be best prepared to assist you.
An intake appointment is an information-gathering session designed to assess whether our practice is an appropriate level of care and to evaluate for any risk factors.
Following the intake, you will be scheduled for a recurring appointment on specific days and times that work for you.
