What should a new client know about working with you?

I prioritize clear, open communication to create a present, non-judgmental environment. You are the expert in your life, and I'm here to be a collaborative guide, to join you and support you in reaching your goals. If we’re working through something challenging, you can expect me to be calm, encouraging, and patient. I became a therapist after realizing we all live with wounds to our souls and limiting beliefs in our thinking. Finding healing through therapy myself helped me recognize the value I held for others to experience the same for themselves. As women, we face many challenges to our identity and purpose as we navigate family, career, friendships, health needs, and more. I believe we all have the potential for healthy, whole lives regardless of our past. Partnering with clients to take steps toward a future rooted in wellness motivates me to serve them well.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Therapy is a collaborative effort, a partnership. Together, we’ll identify and set goals that matter to you. Goals are organic and will likely change as you go along, and that is okay. We can adjust our work together and the plan we establish at any time to ensure it supports what is healthiest for you. I’m here to join you in finding ways to help you continue to move closer to where you want to be, especially when it feels difficult. Our first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We’ll discuss your background and what brings you to therapy. Therapy is a process, and we’ll continue to build our work together over time. It’s completely normal to feel nervous about your first appointment. We’ll take it one step at a time, and I’m here to guide you through each step of the process.
