Getting to know Patricia Gibson

Hello! My name is Patricia, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling from Georgia State University and have over 35 years of professional experience in therapeutic settings. I have provided therapy in a variety of environments, including outpatient behavioral health, inpatient psychiatric hospitalizations, community-based residential programs, and now through online services. These diverse experiences have given me a deep understanding of mental and emotional health. My view on life is to keep one's eyes on the windshield with only glances in the rearview mirror, so one can move forward to the good that lies ahead, not limited by the negative past. I believe in the quote, "You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending!" - C.S. Lewis

What should a new client know about working with you?

Taking the first step to therapy can be apprehensive especially if you are new to therapy, however taking that first step to seeking a more fulfilling life takes courage! I desire to work along side to educate and teach skills to effectively manage life stressors! We are all sailboats on life's ocean waters, sometimes the waters are calm and other times stormy. You can't control the ocean, but you can control how to steer your boat! Let me teach you how to steer!

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
