Are you struggling to make changes in your life? Would you like to feel better about the relationships you have? Have you been thinking about creating a more positive lifestyle and 'head space'? I have an optimistic approach to mental health and I can work with you to fulfill your best version of yourself! I utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy to facilitate your learning in more effective anger management skills, strategic problem solving, anxiety reduction, the lifting of depression and the many transitions of life. This will positively impact family systems, parenting challenges, relationship challenges and life transitions. I am a Licensed Practical Counselor who has many years of practice. I also hold a Master's degree in School Counseling and have worked for over 20 years with students and their families. As my work has expanded and grown, I have noticed that many of us are headed into transitions if life that we may not have expected - an illness, a divorce, the loss of someone close to us or a transition to a situation for which we may not be ready for. I have worked with many people to successfully and confidently make a transition they feel great about. My therapeutic philosophy begins with Acceptance of where a client wants to begin - creating a safe place to develop a positive therapeutic relationship with empathy, humor, curiosity and challenging questions. Also, implementing evidence based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Existential Theory. Let's get started! Take that next step!
