Getting to know Patricia Williams

Do you ever feel worried that no one will be able to help because of your unique situation? Finding someone that truly understands and can help with your specific challenges can feel vulnerable and discouraging. As a wife, mom of 2 and stepmom I definitely "get it" when it comes to the balancing act of life, joy, stress and reaching your goals. I strive to challenge you and also make mental health concepts understandable. I worked in men's jails/reentry for many years and feel comfortable working with any personality. I am specialized in working with complex trauma, body image/disorders eating, life transitions, couples, relationship challenges and parenting. I am trained/certified in CBT, EMDR, DBT. I also believe that a therapist's ability to connect on a non-judgmental human level is just as important as any degree or certification they may have.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I practice with the perspective of living intentionally based on YOUR identified values and finding creative ways (and sometimes making hard decisions) to accomplish this. We've only got two options in life; change the situation or change how you think about the situation. Finding a therapist you can trust is a difficult decision but you got this!
