What should a new client know about working with you?

I offer individual, family & couple sessions. Based in psychodynamic theory and unconditional positive regard for the client I lead a trauma-informed and LGBTQ-affirming healing space. I try to assist in processing complex trauma, co-creating new healthy boundaries and narratives, and stepping IN and LOVING the bodies we're in. Be kind to yourself. It is not a race toward wellness. What is your typical process for working with clients?

Typically we'll work out a schedule that works for both of us, usually starting with an intake session and weekly sessions, whether in person or via telehealth. In the beginning we'll work on chief concerns first and goals of therapy. Discussing history of therapy might come up but I've treated many who've never done talk therapy before! Typically I see people on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
