Hello! I'm Pat, a National Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with the State of Texas. I provide mental health counseling to individuals ranging from adolescents to silver seniors. I believe in treating each person as an individual with their own specific needs, and I strive to create a supportive and understanding environment for all my clients. I earned my Bachelor's in Psychology and Master's in Counseling from LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas. Since 2013, I've had the privilege of working in various settings within the mental health field. My experience includes intensive work in an outpatient prison mental health ward with adult males in solitary confinement, which has deeply enriched my understanding of complex mental health issues. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and I have spent several years studying and utilizing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). These therapeutic approaches allow me to effectively address a wide range of mental health concerns, including depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders, and schizophrenia. Additionally, I specialize in working with issues related to family and intimate relationships, OCD, spirituality, stress, adolescent and teen mental/behavioral health, anger management, ADHD, and PTSD. As a member of the Texas Counselors Association and the Christian Counselors of Texas, I am committed to ongoing professional development and staying current with the latest advancements in mental health care. My goal is to help you navigate life's challenges and achieve a greater sense of well-being through personalized and compassionate therapy. Outside of my professional life, I value the importance of spirituality and community, which often informs my approach to counseling.
