Getting to know Patrick Bryant

As a native Georgian, I strive to learn about, be involved in, and strengthen my community. Getting to know you and understanding your values and worldview are not only my craft but my passion. I chose Social Work because of its emphasis on building from strengths you already have and the understanding of harmony between the self and the systems in which we function. My holistic approach to helping teens and adults is rooted in treating each person as, first and foremost, a human being rather than a problem to be fixed. We'll work together to bring harmony within Self and your connection with those around you. Working with adolescent and adult men from a safe, non-judgmental lens is one area of focus and expertise for me. Studies show most men do not actually subscribe to "toxic" masculinity but are often cast into that shadow. We have a spectrum of emotion and face challenges navigating vulnerability like anyone else. However, this experience may look different in men due to conditioning, lived experiences, and expectations surrounding identity. Creating time and space to grow and develop your complete self will enrich your life and those around you. Our work may include navigating stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, identity, or relationship challenges. Though men's health is one focus, I am honored to work with all genders in identifying strengths and using them to navigate life's challenges. My training and experience in various modalities and theoretical constructs allow me to tailor our work to best meet your needs. I hold a Master's in Social Work and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia, which have provided a strong foundation for my practice. There are many therapists in Decatur and the Atlanta area, and I understand that finding a good fit is crucial to a healthy therapeutic relationship. I prioritize this connection because effective therapy thrives upon a healthy therapeutic relationship.
