Paul Farley, LPC

Paul Farley, LPC

Psychotherapist
MI
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor working in the field with all ages and couples for the last 7 years, teens exclusively 2 years before that. I have worked with clients who suffer from depression, anxiety, trauma, sexual identity issues, and addiction. There is not a population of people I feel uncomfortable working with. My therapeutic approach is a combination of psychodynamic, humanistic, and solution focused therapy. My goal as a therapist is to help you meet your goals, while becoming obsolete. I want you to be able to live your life as free as possible and no longer have a need for me. I am trained in EMDR, which has been an instrumental tool in working with individuals suffering from trauma such as loss of a loved one or rape. If EMDR does not work for you, there are many other types of therapy we can try. I would describe my counseling style as non-judgmental, genuine, warm, and solution-focused. I will help you get to wherever you need to go, whether that's a better sense of self, better work ethic, or lower depressive or anxious levels. I am also here if you just need an unbiased 3rd party listen to your issues in a confidential setting.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My goal as a therapist is to help you meet your goals, while becoming obsolete. I want you to be able to live your life as free as possible and no longer have a need for me. What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first session will involve getting a history and coming up with a treatment plan that makes sense for you. Sessions are very collaborative and non-judgmental so you get the best out of your therapy experience.
