If you feel stuck in self-destructive thoughts, behaviors, or addictions and want a judgment-free therapist to help you change, I am eager to support you. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis and have been a practicing therapist for 17 years, as well as an administrator of social service and addiction treatment programs for 35 years. I bring all of my experience, grounded in empathy and ethics, to help you in every way possible until you feel sufficiently better.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe you can change once you have developed more awareness of the causes of your emotional or addictive problems. My work is grounded in being a good and empathic listener and I truly care for each client I work for and all of my work is grounded in professional ethics. I commit that I will not work any longer with you then you need and will never pressure you to stay longer in therapy than needed.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our sessions will be one hour or longer if needed. I recommend that we meet weekly but am open to adjusting that schedule if you are unable to meet on a weekly basis. Treatment begins with an intake process and a resulting determination of your treatment goals. If other professionals are needed to more fully help you, I commit to find appropriate referrals based upon my vast network of providers which I have developed over 4 decades of practice.
