Psychotherapist
53 Shattuck St, Greenfield, MA
You're looking for a therapist because your life isn't working how you want it to. You may be feeling lost, stuck, or repeating patterns that derail your best efforts. I've been there, and I know that progress is possible, even probable, with support. Through years of practice and study, I've learned that a warm, down to earth, and conversational approach allows us to map what's happening, settle your nervous system, and create an effective plan to feel better and achieve your goals. Your life matters and I'm here to help you get where you want to be. I treat PTSD, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and many other diagnoses. My specialties are in treating trauma (specifically religious, sexual, and childhood trauma), navigating early adulthood, concerns about neurodiversity, and concerns about sexuality. I'm a gender-affirming, sex-positive, health-at-every-size, neurodiversity-affirming clinician.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I'm going to tell you my license and degree in a second, but the first thing you need to know is that as intimidating, or vulnerable, or scary, or burdensome as it can feel to start with a new therapist, I'm going to make this easy on you. I'm down to earth, I'm just a person, and we're just going to talk. I do know what I'm doing, you're safe, and I promise it's not as scary or taxing as it seems at first. Now, to the official stuff: I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of Massachusetts. I earned my Master's Degree in Social Work from Simmons University, and have worked since 2016 as a therapist in community mental health organizations, counseling hundreds of clients from a wide variety of backgrounds.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

After our initial consult and intake, we will work together to identify your mental health goals and strategize how to achieve them. In an environment of acceptance and expertise, we will discuss what led to current struggles, what factors are holding progress back, and discuss a variety of ways to get you closer to the life you imagine.
