Getting to know Dr. Paula Ehrmantraut

As a psychologist/therapist with a PsyD from Walden University, I want to work with you to gain the tools and strategies to help you move past the area that is of concern. I have been in practice for nearly 20 years, having raised three beautiful daughters and now enjoying four grandchildren. I believe that we must find the positive and the good in each day, even if it's small, to give us the power and motivation to move forward. It is not always easy, but it is definitely worth it. My approach My approach combines cognitive behavioral, client/person-centered, solution-focused, psychoanalysis, trauma-focused CBT, and teaching individuals how to be kind to self by using healing-oriented approach therapies. I will tailor our treatment plans to meet your unique and specific needs. When you are ready to take your first step toward change, I am here to help guide you toward a more productive life. Let’s talk and begin a new chapter. You will not be judged, but understood. My focus I specialize in children, adolescents, and young adults. I further specialize in the LGBTQ+ community as well as marriage and family therapy. My communication style I believe in asking questions and providing homework as necessary. I want clients to feel free to express their thoughts and opinions openly and to know they will never be judged, but I also challenge irrational thoughts by reframing and using CBT approaches for better understanding. My journey to mental healthcare I was truly led in this direction by a series of events that I have no doubt my spiritual faith guided me through. My goals for you I will work with my clients independently and individually to develop short-term and long-term goals for effective treatment.
