I am a graduate of Texas State University with a Master's in Professional Counseling. My approach to counseling is grounded in Narrative Therapy, which uses storytelling to empower individuals to become the authors of their own lives. I enjoy helping clients identify their core strengths, which allows us to develop a personalized path that works best for them. Through collaboration, we set goals that meet clients where they are and help them build the skills and knowledge needed to pursue those goals.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Whether it is your first time in therapy or a seasoned vet, therapy does not have to be painful. I take a slow approach by creating baby steps towards change in order to help the client feel comfortable. Change does not happen over night and therapy is the place to realize that true meaningful change is done through the work of slow and steady progress.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Clients can expect to take away simple lessons on changing their perspective just a little bit during each session. There is nothing like the feeling of being heard by someone who is not going to judge you and is just there to take in the information with an open mind. It is not always obvious at first what someone needs to do to change the path they are in, but through open discussions we can figure out together what the client wants to do and how to do it.
